NextImg:Why 'Woke' Athletes Like Rapinoe End Up As Losers Brutally Explained By a Single Cartoon

By now most people know the USWNT soccer team was defeated by Sweden when media darling and far-left activist Megan Rapinoe failed to make a penalty kick.

How could this have happened when the USA team was the odds on favorite going into the tournament?

They say a picture can be worth a thousand words so here is one possible explanation brutally summed up by a single cartoon:

Nails it!

Problem with being both a political activist and a professional athlete is you split your focus.

As we all know peak performance athletics requires a singular focus and as far as we can tell Rapinoe does not have that level of focus on her sport.

That said sure she’ll have no problem securing a gig with ESPN or any other woke network looking for another far leftist to spout politics and sports at the same time.

Adriana McLamb, a former Division I volleyball player and advocate for girls’ and women’s sports, recently responded to U.S. soccer star Megan Rapinoe’s comments from last year, in which Rapinoe dismissed the importance of girls’ sports while advocating for the inclusion of biological boys and men in female sports.

During an appearance on Fox & Friends, McLamb addressed Rapinoe’s remarks, stating, “We very much do care about your daughter’s high school volleyball team.”

McLamb argued that allowing males to participate in girls’ and women’s sports is not only unfair but also proving to be “unsafe.”

She cited the example of high school athlete Payton McNabb, who suffered a severe concussion after being hit in the face by a ball spiked by a biological male.

McLamb emphasized the common sense aspect of the issue, pointing out the significant physical differences between male and female athletes, particularly in the sport of volleyball.

She stressed the importance of Title IX, which was fought for 50 years ago to create separate categories for male and female athletes, allowing for a fair playing field.

In an interview with Time magazine last year, Rapinoe dismissed concerns about fairness in allowing biologically male transgender athletes to compete in girls’ sports.

She argued that high-level sports are all about “regulation,” which she believes can eliminate the advantages trans athletes may have.

However, a recent study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine contradicts Rapinoe’s assertion.

Rapinoe encouraged those worried about potential unfair advantages to “really take a step back and think what are we actually talking about here,” adding that people should understand that “sports is not the most important thing in life.”

McLamb countered Rapinoe’s arguments by highlighting the physical disparities between male and female athletes, particularly in volleyball, where the average height of a male player is over six feet, compared to her own height of five feet, four inches.

She noted that the differences in the height of the net and the size of baseball and softball fields serve a purpose, reflecting the separate categories established by Title IX to ensure a level playing field for all athletes.

In advocating for the rights of female athletes and the integrity of girls’ and women’s sports, McLamb has highlighted the importance of maintaining a fair and safe environment for all competitors.

Her response to Rapinoe’s dismissal of the concerns surrounding the inclusion of transgender athletes in female sports underscores the ongoing debate surrounding fairness, safety, and the rights of all athletes involved in competitive sports.
