Tucker Carlson, known for his fiery takedowns, set his sights on Fox News, his former employer, in today’s episode following his scathing condemnation of the Deep State, a video that has garnered over 90 million views.
Carlson wasted no time delving into the recent “wannabe dictator” debacle involving the White House.
This past Tuesday, in the wake of former President Trump’s arrest, Fox News simultaneously aired two video feeds—one featuring President Biden and the other showcasing Trump—accompanied by a chyron that read, “wannabe dictator speaks at The White House after having his political rival arrested.”
Though these words were displayed for less than 30 seconds, their impact reverberated immediately within the network.
Carlson points out that “the women who run the network panicked…first they scolded the producer…and less than 24 hours later, he resigned. He had been an invaluable asset to Fox for over a decade, widely regarded as one of the most capable professionals in the building.”
In response to the incident, Fox News issued a public apology, promptly taking down the chyron.
However, the statement carried an ominous undertone as it alluded to the issue being “addressed.”
Predictably, the rest of the media promptly seized on the controversy.
The Washington Post, known for its antagonistic stance toward conservative viewpoints, expressed outrage, claiming that “suggesting Biden is a dictator crossed the line.”
Several members of the press even went so far as to call for the censorship of any criticism directed at the President. It is almost comical how they demand actions that only dictators would endorse.
But let’s examine Tucker Carlson‘s initial point: Why were Democrats so irate? If the chyron was false, why the hysteria?
In today’s political climate, it seems lies no longer evoke a response. If a cable news producer were to label Biden a genius or falsely claim he had Sudanese roots, would anyone be up in arms?
Hence, referring to Joe Biden as a “wannabe dictator” apparently struck a nerve.
It forces us to ask ourselves, is there any truth to the notion that Joe Biden possesses a yearning for absolute power?
The response from the White House spokesperson was predictable. They were quick to dismiss the notion, basically claiming ‘Of course, Joe Biden is not a dictator. Just because he wants to incarcerate his political opponent for a crime he himself committed does not mean he possesses a totalitarian impulse.’
In the following segment, Tucker Carlson dissects the fundamental characteristics of a dictator, drawing eerie parallels to the current administration’s actions…
