A remarkable video recently showed a group of suspected illegal migrants arriving on a Malibu beach, a place known for its wealthy residents and Hollywood stars.
The video, shared by Fox News’ Bill Melugin, depicts around 25 people jumping out of a boat on Thursday and rushing to shore, leaving the boat floating nearby.
This incident took place in Malibu, known for its luxurious homes and famous residents like Barbra Streisand, Leonardo Di Caprio, and Cher.
The beach where the boat landed is close to these high-end properties.
Melugin pointed out that such landings are rare for Malibu, which is quite far from the Mexico border. It’s not clear what happened to the people after they landed.
The situation is somewhat ironic given the political views of some Malibu celebrities.
Streisand and Cher, both outspoken critics of former President Donald Trump, have even said they’d leave the U.S. if he becomes president again.
Streisand, who lives in a huge mansion worth about $100 million, has publicly opposed Trump’s immigration policies.
In 2019, she criticized his idea for a border wall, saying it was more about his ego than the country’s needs.
Streisand’s 2018 album “Walls” reflects her views on immigration.
She sings about building bridges instead of walls and dreams of a day when no walls will stand in the way of a better future.
This beach landing in Malibu comes as the U.S., under President Biden’s administration, has seen an estimated 10 million illegal entries.
