NextImg:Tucker Carlson and Famous Rapper Discuss Urban Decay and Political Neglect on Post-Riot Los Angeles Tour

Three years post the 2020 upheaval following the demise of George Floyd, Ice Cube, renowned rapper and Los Angeles native, extended a tour of his old stomping ground to conservative commentator and Daily Caller co-founder, Tucker Carlson.

Their journey meandered through the less glamorous parts of South Central Los Angeles, exposing the city’s pervasive social issues.

Ice Cube, formally known as O’Shea Jackson Sr., navigated Carlson around the neighborhood, providing him an uncensored look into the city’s decay, marked by dilapidated buildings and streets dotted with homeless encampments.

The sights mirrored a stinging criticism the rapper had for politicians, whom he believes focus more on those who line their pockets than on addressing pressing community needs.

“Politicians only really pay attention to the people who give them money. Everybody else is kind of extra,” Ice Cube candidly shared with Carlson.

Drawing attention to the stagnation in urban development, Ice Cube expressed his disappointment over the lack of palpable change in his city and for its residents since former President Barack Obama took office.

He further criticized how the riots, which erupted following George Floyd’s death, only exacerbated the city’s disrepair.

As Carlson provided narration for the tour, he remarked, “And then came George Floyd. In the beginning of what we were told was a second Civil Rights movement. If there was going to be liberation in the wake of the Floyd riots, this is where you’d see the effects.”

Furthermore, the rapper took issue with the lack of tangible impact made by corporations, despite their public pledges of approximately $50 billion to the Black Lives Matter cause.

He criticized prominent sports organizations, accusing them of paying lip service to the movement while falling short on action.

In this regard, Carlson singled out NBA Commissioner, Adam Silver. Despite Silver’s professed commitment to social justice, Carlson labeled him as a “cringing neoliberal,” questioning the sincerity of his social justice commitments.

In a bold affirmation of his individual beliefs, Ice Cube also disclosed to Carlson his refusal to sway from his personal stance on the COVID-19 vaccine.

He stated that he rejected a $9 million deal, as it was contingent upon him getting vaccinated.

The segment reveals the hard truth about Democrat run Los Angeles, among many other cities, that has become a living tragedy with out of control crime, homeless populations and open air drug markets.

When will the people wake up and realize they have been baited with empty promises and failed woke policies?
