Medical programs at Duke University, the University of North Carolina (UNC), and East Carolina University (ECU) are allegedly providing “gender-affirming care” to patients as young as two years old, according to a report by Education First Alliance, a grassroots community dedicated to upholding traditional American values.

The report accuses the schools’ medical programs of offering gender-transitioning resources to young children supposedly suffering from gender dysphoria and training primary care doctors on transitioning “treatment.”

Duke Medicine, which opened its Gender Clinic in 2015, has reportedly been treating patients as young as two.

In a 2016 interview, Dr. Deanna Adkins, Director of Duke Child and Adolescent Gender Care, stated that her toddler-age patients do not choose their gender dysphoria, as it causes distress.

Adkins believes that using chromosomes, hormones, organs, genitalia, or secondary sex characteristics to override gender identity for classification purposes is counter to medical science.

Adkins testified in 2020 that prepubescent children do not receive drugs or surgical intervention.

Instead, treatment involves “social transition,” which allows transgender children to live and be socially recognized in accordance with their gender identity through preferred pronouns and clothing.

The report also reveals that UNC Health’s gender clinic treats patients as young as three and offers free cross-sex hormones every third Wednesday.

ECU Health recently opened a “Pride Clinic,” with the goal of providing affirming primary care to everyone in the LGBTQ+ spectrum, according to its director, Dr. Colby Dendy.

Education First Alliance accuses doctors and gender clinics of socially transitioning children at a young age to generate enormous amounts of cash due to patients’ likely reliance on lifetime medication.

Founder Sloan Rachmuth and Dr. Nancy Anderson appeared on “Fox & Friends First,” claiming that activist physicians with radical progressive ideologies are providing controversial gender-transitioning treatment to children without pushback.

Anderson described the treatment as gender-affirming care, a pathway that a child cannot exit once they think or pretend to be a different sex.

Rachmuth added that the situation has worsened, with activists targeting children as young as two for social transitioning, followed by hormone treatments.
