NextImg:Thin-Skinned Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Furious Over 'Family Guy' Episode Mocking Them, 'Outrageous Slur'

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are at the center of a media storm once again.

This time, it’s because of a recent episode of the animated comedy show “Family Guy” that poked fun at them in a way they found insulting.

According to a report from Closer magazine, the royal couple didn’t take kindly to the episode, calling it a “savage” and “outrageous slur.”

The couple famously stepped back from their royal duties in 2020, seeking a different life, but they have found themselves the subject of jokes and criticism instead of the respect they desired.

A source close to them shared that Meghan and Harry feel constantly underappreciated and unfairly targeted by jokes, making them feel desperate to change the public’s perception.

The insider explained that Meghan, who used to star in the TV show “Suits,” feels particularly affected by the episode.

She is portrayed as a person obsessed with image and money, which has deeply upset her.

She believes the only way out of this negative spotlight might be for Harry to reconcile with his royal family.

The Post has reportedly contacted the couple’s representatives for a comment on the situation, but at the time of the initial article, there had been no response.

The “Family Guy” episode that caused the controversy featured a scene where Peter Griffin, a character on the show, decides to make money by becoming a TV extra, joking that he’ll “go it alone, just like Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.”

The show then presents animated versions of Harry and Meghan lounging by a pool.

In a sarcastic twist, a butler presents Harry with a stack of money from Netflix for a project that’s not explained, to which Harry responds, “Put it with the rest of them.”

The show also suggests that the couple is trying to earn more money by making a sponsored Instagram post worth a quarter of a million dollars.

Towards the end of the segment, the character of Harry voices a regretful thought, saying, “I shouldn’t have left the made-up nonsense,” which seems to reflect a sense of regret for leaving his royal life behind.

This satirical portrayal on “Family Guy” echoes recent critical comments by Spotify CEO Bill Simmons, who reportedly called Meghan and Harry “f–king grifters,” indicating a larger trend of skepticism about their actions after leaving the royal family.

It’s not the first time the couple has been mocked in animated form.

Eight months before the “Family Guy” episode, “South Park” also made fun of them in an episode focused on their demands for privacy, despite their very public lives.
