NextImg:'The View' Co-Hosts Get Hammered Over Their Stance that Migrants Overrunning NYC to Be 'Resettled Elsewhere'

In Friday’s episode of “The View,” the show’s co-hosts ignited a firestorm on social media with their remarks on the influx of migrants into New York City, suggesting the need for redistributing these migrants across the United States.

The discussion started with the panel addressing the concerns voiced by Democrat Mayor Eric Adams while addressing a town hall meeting on the Upper West Side. He painted a bleak picture of New York’s future, grappling with over 110,000 migrants arriving since the previous year. His words were undeniably ominous.

“Let me tell you something, New Yorkers. Never in my life have I had a problem that I did not see an ending to. I don’t see an ending to this. This issue will destroy New York City. Destroy New York City,” Adams said. “We’re getting 10,000 migrants a month.”

The co-hosts of “The View” didn’t restrict their conversation to the challenges facing New York alone; they also delved into the broader context of migrants streaming into the United States via the southern border.

Alyssa Farah Griffin, one of the co-hosts, opined, “I think New York is now getting a small taste of what border states have dealt with for decades.”

Ana Navarro, another co-host, emphasized the global dimension of the immigration issue, asserting, “This is not a federal problem. This is not an American problem. This is a regional problem. This is a world problem, and I think it takes everybody sitting together, not being performative.”

She questioned the effectiveness of certain actions, such as sending migrants to the residences of public figures like Kamala Harris or Martha’s Vineyard.

Navarro did acknowledge the federal government’s commitment to prioritizing asylum seekers, drawing on her own experiences as an immigrant arriving in the 1980s.

However, she conceded that mass immigration presents formidable logistical challenges that place immense stress on cities, leading her to suggest, “They need to be resettled elsewhere.”

Sara Haines, echoing Navarro’s sentiment, remarked, “They need to spread out. This is a massive country!”

Joy Behar, adding a layer of environmental concern to the conversation, warned of an escalating issue: “It’s only going to get worse with global warming and climate change because people can’t live in certain parts of this world.”

The complete and total hypocrisy of this panel is unparalleled. They have supported pretty much everything the Biden administration has done, including what is the equivalent of an open door at the border, not to mention the fact that New York City is a self declared sanctuary city.

This did not go over well on social media. Commentators on the platform “X” held nothing back.

Brittany Hughes, MRCTV managing editor, said, “’Let them in! Just not in our backyard.’- Leftists, basically.”
