In a surprising turn of events, Fox News announced on Monday that the network had parted ways with Tucker Carlson, host of its most-watched prime-time show.
The company provided no explanation for the decision, which left viewers and Carlson himself reportedly blindsided.
Former Fox News host and Blaze Media founder Glenn Beck was quick to offer Carlson a job during his radio show.
In a statement, Fox News said, “Fox News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”
The announcement came just 10 minutes after Carlson was informed of his departure.
Beck, who started at Fox News in 2008, shared his thoughts on the network’s decision during his radio show.
He publicly offered Carlson a job while speaking with co-host Stu Burguiere, stating, “We would love to have you here. You won’t miss a beat. And together, the two of us will tear it up. Just tear it up.”
Burguiere found the idea of Carlson joining Blaze Media “fascinating,” and Beck agreed, believing the loss of Carlson could prove detrimental to Fox News.
He said, “I think that will kill Fox, I really do. I know so many people that – you know – still kind of like Fox. And they watch the other shows. But they’re like, ‘Tucker, Tucker is the only one that I really trust.'”
Beck went on to label Fox News as part of the “mainstream media” and argued that the network was foolish to let Carlson go.
He expressed that Carlson was the only person he felt was telling the truth within mainstream media.
Glenn Beck left Fox News in 2011 after three years with the network and has predicted its decline in recent years.

In 2017, amid the exits of Bill O’Reilly and Roger Ailes, he remarked, “It’s not going to go away right away, but you’re seeing a significant weakening.”
Tucker Carlson has reportedly hired prominent attorney Bryan Freedman, who specializes in media “breakups.”
Freedman is known for helping Megyn Kelly secure a $69 million payout when she left NBC News.
The future of Carlson’s career remains uncertain, but the public job offer from Glenn Beck highlights the potential opportunities available to the former Fox News host.
