The Madison County Sheriff’s Office has released a statement regarding a series of suspicious cattle deaths in Texas.
In each case, the mutilated cattle were found with no signs of struggle, footprints, or tire tracks near their bodies.
Authorities are seeking information from the public to help solve the disturbing mystery.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, one of the cattle had “a straight, clean cut, with apparent precision” made around the cow’s mouth, leaving the meat untouched.
Additionally, the tongue was removed without any blood spillage.
Ranchers reported that no predators or birds would scavenge the remains, leaving the carcasses untouched for weeks.
The police revealed that five other cattle deaths in the area shared eerie similarities.
Each cow was found lying on one side, with the exposed side of their face cut along the jawline and the tongue completely removed.
Again, no signs of struggle or blood were found near the mutilated animals, and no other creatures scavenged the remains.
Two of the five cows also had a circular cut removing “the anus and the external genitalia.”
These cuts were made with the same precision as those on the jaws of the other cattle.
The mutilated animals were discovered along a highway spanning three counties — Madison, Brazos, and Robertson — and each belonged to a different herd and pasture.
Authorities have yet to determine the cause of death for all six cattle, and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information about the bizarre incidents to contact them.
These unsettling cases resemble similar incidents in recent years.
In 2019, five bulls were found dead in Oregon with tongues and genitalia removed, and no tracks or blood near the carcasses.
In 2021, another seven cattle were discovered mutilated on an Oregon ranch.
The Associated Press reported that in most cases, “the dead animal’s sex organs, tongue, or eyes are cut away cleanly and there is no blood.”
The mysterious cattle mutilations in Texas have left authorities baffled and searching for answers.
As the investigation continues, officials hope that public input will provide crucial information to help solve these macabre cases, shedding light on the enigmatic circumstances surrounding the cattle deaths.
