Lucien Greaves, co-founder and spokesperson of The Satanic Temple, has announced his intention to replicate worship leader Sean Feucht’s successful “Let Us Worship” capitol tour.
Greaves took to Twitter last week, expressing his gratitude to Feucht for paving the way for his upcoming “Let Us Burn” Capitol tour.
Greaves justified his decision by invoking the principle of religious neutrality upheld by the law.
According to him, if public representatives have granted permission for Feucht to hold openly Christian Nationalist events within state capitol buildings, denying Satanic Planet the same opportunity would lack legal justification.
Citing this rationale, Satanic Planet has already submitted a request to perform at the Indiana State Capitol on August 12 and has initiated a fundraising campaign for their “Let Us Burn” Capitol tour.
As of today, The Satanic Temple has reached 19 percent of its $15,000 goal.
Greaves acknowledges the challenges they may face during their tour, including the likelihood of protests, logistical issues with the stage and sound, and the significant cost involved.
However, he emphasizes that they cannot remain passive while “theocratic extremists” are afforded an elevated public platform.
Greaves asserts that their objective is to restore pluralism and ensure that all perspectives have an equal opportunity to be heard.
Sean Feucht wasted no time in responding to Greaves’ announcement on Twitter.
Displaying a sense of humor, Feucht remarked, “Imitation is the highest form of flattery. And Satan has never had creative ability. He only tries to pervert what has already been created. And guess what… it’s always weaker, a rip-off, and way more pathetic than the original.”
Feucht also questioned the motives behind The Satanic Temple’s decision to mimic their “Let Us Worship” tour, pointing out that such replication is not directed at contemporary Christian music (CCM) or industry worship tours.
Feucht believes that the devil consistently attempts to counterfeit the authentic and stressed the profound impact their “Let Us Worship” movement is having on America.
