Ana Kasparian, co-host of the progressive media show “The Young Turks,” has angered leftist journalists and transgender activists after she insisted that women should not be referred to as “birthing persons” or “persons with uteruses.”

Kasparian doubled down on her stance, calling transgender “inclusive” language “degrading” to women.

Kasparian laughed at the criticism she received on Twitter on Monday, saying, “[Laughing out loud]! The meltdowns over wanting to be referred to as a woman rather than a ‘birthing person’ is pretty wild.”

She vowed never to apologize for her position, adding, “I’ll never apologize for that, especially as a biological woman who has had a f—ing lifetime of being told I’m less than. I’m a woman. No apologies.”

Many progressives who were previously angered by her original tweet were also offended by her unapologetic statement.

Some asked Kasparian to stop tweeting about the issue, while others accused her of bigotry.

Mississippi Free Press news editor Ashton Pittman compared her to J.K. Rowling, saying, “You’ll be on J.K. Rowling’s level of TERFyness within 2 years at this rate.”

Saira Rao, founder of “Race 2 Dinner,” an organization that invites White women to be lectured about their privilege and racism, mocked Kasparian, stating, “You win the Oscar, Emmy and Grammy for Most Toxic White of the Weekend. Bravo for you.”

Transgender activists argued that no one was referring to women as “birthing persons.”

Charlotte Clymer, an activist formerly with the Human Rights Campaign, tweeted, “When referring to the whole community of people who are capable of pregnancy in the context of pregnancy, repro advocates use ‘birthing person’ to include trans men + nonbinary people. No one is arbitrarily calling individual women ‘birthing person.'”

A transgender drag queen running for Congress in 2024 urged Kasparian to stop tweeting about the issue, warning that transgender individuals were under attack and pointing to the hundreds of anti-trans bills being proposed.

Transgender attorney and activist Alejandro Carabello cautioned Kasparian that not using inclusive language could have “dire” consequences, linking to a 2019 report where a transgender man, a biological woman, was not given proper medical care and delivered a stillborn baby.

Carabello wrote, “No one is using that term to describe you personally, it’s in reference to the population. When language isn’t inclusive in medicine, the consequences can be dire. These are the real issues instead of making yourself the victim.”

Grab some popcorn and enjoy the show as the left tears itself apart over this issue. Lets hope for the good of the nation that sanity prevails.
