According to an Axios report, Tucker Carlson, who was taken off the air by Fox News last month, has had discussions with Twitter CEO Elon Musk about a potential collaboration.

This development comes as Carlson reportedly moves closer to letting his top allies criticize Fox News for keeping him locked in his contract, which would pay him $20 million annually to remain on the sidelines until January 2025.

Carlson’s high-profile attorney, Bryan Freedman, who also represented recently fired CNN co-host Don Lemon, stated, “The idea that anyone is going to silence Tucker and prevent him from speaking to his audience is beyond preposterous.”

The report indicates that Carlson is considering establishing a direct-to-consumer subscription-based media company, akin to former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly’s platform, which would allow him to communicate directly with his audience.

Although the nature of the potential collaboration between Musk and Carlson remains unclear, the report suggests that platforms such as Newsmax and Rumble have offered Carlson more money than he made at Fox News.

While Carlson’s allies have been urging him to allow them to attack Fox News, he has thus far discouraged them, preferring to handle the situation privately and professionally.

However, Axios sources indicate that Carlson is eager to gain his freedom and is preparing to “unleash” his allies against the network, with his team “preparing for war.”

After being taken off the air, Carlson released a statement hinting at his desire to cover substantial issues often neglected in television news.

In his statement, Carlson criticized the lack of legitimate debates about critical topics such as war, civil liberties, emerging science, demographic change, corporate power, and natural resources in American media.

He emphasized the power of honest people speaking the truth, stating, “When honest people say what’s true, calmly and without embarrassment, they become powerful.”

He also highlighted the importance of the few remaining places where Americans can still hear the truth, expressing hope for the future.

Carlson concluded his message with the cryptic phrase, “See you soon.”

While it remains uncertain what the future holds for Carlson and his potential partnership with Elon Musk, it is evident that the ousted Fox News host is determined to make his voice heard, despite the constraints of his current contract.
