Med School Professor Claims We Are in a "Gender Revolution": Some Trans Kids Identify as 'Minotaurs'

Diane Ehrensaft, a self-identified feminist and director of mental health at the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital gender development center, has presented unconventional claims about children’s gender identities, according to a report by Fox News Digital.
She specializes in pediatric “gender-affirmative care for transgender and gender-expansive patients” and is a professor at UCSF School of Medicine.
Ehrensaft’s research delves into the development of genders before puberty, as well as the psychological impacts of puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones on children.
In her research, Ehrensaft proposes ideas that challenge conventional understandings of gender. She suggests that children can identify as “gender hybrids,” including a “gender Minotaur,” a concept inspired by Greek mythology. A “Minotaur,” as per Britannica, was a mythical creature with the body of a man and the head of a bull.

Ehrensaft goes further by asserting that children can shift their gender identities based on seasons and locations.
Speaking at the San Francisco Public Library in 2018 Ehrensaft stated, “I totally agree we are in the midst of a gender revolution and the children are leading it. And it’s a wonderful thing to see. And it’s also humbling to know [children] know more than we do about this topic of being gender expansive.”
She also believes that the transgender revolution is the next phase of the feminist movement from the 1960s, challenging established gender stereotypes.
Ehrensaft’s beliefs are rooted in the concept of a “gender web,” influenced by factors such as culture, upbringing, and nature. She suggests that each person’s gender web changes over time with age, advocating a departure from binary measurements.
To this end, she introduced terms like “genderfluid,” “non-binary,” and “gender expansive.” Ehrensaft anticipates further evolution of this language and cites conversations with a 7-year-old as evidence that unconventional identities like “gender Minotaurs” exist.
Ehrensaft acknowledges the political nature of language, asserting that terms considered acceptable today may become politically incorrect in the future.

She believes in embracing change and introduced the idea of “gender hybrids” to illustrate her point. “I started meeting a whole bunch of other gender hybrids. And so we have the gender Prius, we have a gender Minotaur,” she said.
The professor notes that “gender Minotaurs” tend to have an affinity for other mythical creatures, stating, “most of the kids who are gender minotaurs love mermaids. So make sure you have a lot of mermaid books.”
“If you really you think about it, it works,” she added.
Fox News Digital attempted to contact Ehrensaft and the children’s hospital for comment, but no response was received.
The implications of this thinking and teaching is far reaching and horrifyingly scary for our country and world. At what point do we stop this insanity, before or after our children are all mentally ill, suicidal, and or infertile?
