Circuit Court Judge Holly Meyer has ordered Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden’s son, to appear in court to answer questions regarding his laptop amid a custody battle with former stripper Lunden Alexis Roberts.
The Washington Free Beacon reported that the order was given this week as part of the ongoing legal dispute over the couple’s daughter.
Judge Meyer instructed both parties to be present at every hearing, expressing her concern about the slow progress of the litigation.
The order came after Hunter Biden‘s attorney failed to confirm whether the controversial laptop belonged to his client.
Hunter Biden’s lawyer attempted to prevent an expert witness from testifying about financial records found on the laptop, citing that Hunter Biden has never acknowledged the laptop as his own.
In response, Judge Meyer pressed the lawyer to clarify the issue.
The attorney stated that, as far as he knew, it was not his client’s laptop and that Hunter Biden had never accepted the laptop as his.
Lunden Alexis Roberts confirmed through a court-ordered paternity test that she and Hunter Biden share a daughter.
Last year, Hunter Biden sought to reduce his monthly child support payments, prompting the current legal battle.
President Biden, often portrayed by Democrats as a “devout Catholic,” has not acknowledged the child as part of his family.
The president reportedly refused to provide Secret Service protection for the child, and the Biden White House excluded the child from displayed Christmas stockings.
Furthermore, Hunter Biden is allegedly attempting to prevent the child from using the family’s surname.
Hunter Biden’s relationship with Roberts occurred while he was dating his late brother’s widow.
As the custody battle unfolds, the Arkansas judge’s order for Hunter Biden to appear in court adds another layer of complexity to the case.
With questions surrounding Hunter’s laptop, the outcome of this legal dispute remains uncertain.
