Podcast host Joe Rogan recently addressed the role of liberal-leaning media during the 2020 presidential election, bringing a credible perspective to a debate often mired in partisan rhetoric.

Rogan did not claim the election was rigged per se but made a compelling case for media interference.

On his July 4 episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” Rogan, along with comedian Tom Segura, discussed potential election fraud in recent and future elections.

The conversation was initiated by Roseanne Barr’s controversial comments on Theo Von’s podcast “This Past Weekend.”

Barr had expressed disbelief at President Joe Biden’s record-breaking popular vote count contrasted with his historically low county wins.

Rogan’s response was measured and informed. “I don’t know if there was some shenanigans with the election. I guarantee you it wasn’t zero percent,” said Rogan. “How much voter fraud was there? It’s never zero.”

For a better understanding of Barr’s comment, Rogan referenced a USA Today fact-check.

The fact-check confirmed both Biden’s 81 million votes and his low number of county wins.

The report explained that county victories don’t necessarily correlate with the popular vote due to varying population sizes.

Despite this clarification, Rogan retained his skepticism, considering a recent security assessment of Georgia’s Dominion voting machines that found “dangerous vulnerabilities.”

He also highlighted a CNN report stating the software wouldn’t be updated until after the 2024 election.

Rogan argued that while there may not have been direct manipulation by hackers, there was undeniable interference from the media.

“Just the Hunter Biden laptop case and the Russia collusion case — just those two things, just those two narratives that they knew were not true, that they pushed out in front of everybody and that we know … had to do with trying to get rid of Trump,” said Rogan.

His guest, Segura, succinctly summed it up as “one overreporting and one underreporting.”

Rogan affirmed this, stating, “It’s manipulation of a public narrative. It’s manipulation of what the people think is real and not real.”

Rogan cited the Durham Report, released in May, which revealed the FBI’s Russian collusion investigation into Trump was unfounded from the start.

He noted Fox News as the only mainstream media outlet that did not propagate the false narrative.

Discussing the Hunter Biden laptop case, Rogan stated, “They stopped people from sharing it on social media. They stopped people from sharing it on Twitter. Zuckerberg sat in that very chair and said the FBI contacted Facebook and told them it was ‘Russian disinformation.'”

Rogan concluded, “That is a way that you’re going to rig an election without rigging an election. Whether you like [Trump] or not, we have to follow the rules. We have to. And if we don’t follow the rules ’cause you don’t like somebody and we break the law because we don’t like somebody, we don’t want them to win, that’s banana republic stuff.”

With an earnest concern for the state of the nation, Rogan pointed out the potential collusion of media, big tech, and administrative forces against Trump, terming the lack of consequences as “scary.”

He also drew parallels between this phenomenon and online censorship, deeming both as “dangerous.” Rogan’s viewpoint, rooted in respect for factual discourse, invites reflection on media’s role in shaping political narratives.
