Billionaire philanthropist George Soros is under scrutiny for allegedly channeling over $15 million into organizations linked to Hamas, as Israel’s U.N. ambassador, Gilad Erdan, has pointed out.
Erdan told Fox News Digital, “George Soros’ donations to organizations that seek the destruction of the State of Israel as a Jewish state is shameful. However, I am not surprised.”
These accusations come amid rising tensions following a Hamas-led terrorist invasion into southern Israel on October 7, resulting in the tragic loss of 1,200 lives, including over 30 Americans, and the capture of more than 200 hostages.
Erdan further criticized Soros for his longstanding financial support to groups promoting the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel, a campaign the German and Austrian parliaments have branded antisemitic.
He stated, “For years, Soros has backed and transferred money to organizations supporting BDS that want to isolate Israel. They have never been about real peace or any solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.”
Rachel Ehrenfeld book, “The Soros Agenda,” discusses Soros and his son Alexander’s Open Society Foundations’ (OSF) contributions to pro-Hamas and pro-Palestinian groups in the U.S.
Ehrenfeld points out the appointment of Robert Malley as Biden’s special envoy to Iran, emphasizing Malley’s past role with a Soros-funded group and his controversial views on Hamas.
In her book, she notes, “Soon after he settled in the White House, Biden appointed Robert Malley as his special envoy to Iran. Malley is the former president and CEO of the Soros-funded, Brussels-based International Crisis Group, which, like Soros, has been criticizing Israel and praising Hamas.”
Soros’ past criticisms of the U.S. and Israeli governments are particularly noted in the context of their refusal to recognize Hamas as the legitimate government of the Gaza Strip.

In a 2007 Financial Times article, Soros expressed his dissenting views, arguing that this non-recognition was a flawed policy. This stance has contributed to the current controversy surrounding his funding activities.
OSF, according to reports, donated $13.7 million to the Tides Center, which supports groups allegedly advocating for the destruction of the Jewish state. A glaring example is the Adalah Justice Project, which openly criticized Israeli security measures on social media.
Responding to Fox News Digital’s inquiries about OSF’s stance on Hamas, a spokesperson declined to label the group as a terrorist organization but condemned the October 7 attacks and expressed grief for all victims of the conflict.
The spokesperson added, “The Open Society Foundations utterly condemn the brutal attacks on Israeli citizens on Oct. 7. We grieve for the lives lost and injured and those taken hostage and their families. Like so many others around the world today we also feel the same pain for the Palestinian citizens whose lives are now being lost in tragically mounting numbers because of the conflict.”
OSF’s support extends to Jewish Voice for Peace and IfNotNow, both criticized by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) for their anti-Israel positions.
On the very day Hamas committed heinous acts of torture and terror, murdering 1,200 people, JVP issued a statement stating that “the source of all this violence” was “Israeli apartheid and occupation — and United States complicity in that oppression.”

The ADL states, “Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) is a radical anti-Israel and anti-Zionist activist group that advocates for the boycott of Israel and eradication of Zionism.”
These organizations, under the veneer of Jewish identity, are accused of promoting a politically correct campaign: against Israel and supporting terrorism.
“JVP does not represent the mainstream Jewish community, which it views as bigoted for its association with Israel,” the ADL stated. OSF has placed at least $650,000 into the JVP’s funds since 2017.
Soros son, Alex Soros, took over his father’s $25 billion fortune, as Israeli officials fear a continuation of these funding patterns.
It “looks like the son is a replica of his father. We have no expectation that his son will be a big Zionist,” Amichai Chikli, Israel’s minister of diaspora affairs and social equality told Fox News Digital in June.
Requests for comment from involved NGOs, including JVP, The Tides Center, and IfNotNow, remained unanswered.
It is not surprising that Soros is fundamentally an antisemite along with just being sinister, essentially funding the fall of western civilization, starting with democracy.
