U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has reported a dramatic rise in the number of Chinese migrants illegally crossing the southern border.
The data is startling, with November recording 4,767 encounters, a number that outpaces any annual total from 2007 to 2019.
This surge is part of an escalating pattern, with 24,000 encounters noted in fiscal year 2023, significantly higher than the 1,970 in 2022 and 323 in 2021.
Concerns have been raised by House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green regarding the potential links between these migrants and the Chinese Communist Party, as well as China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA).
Green hinted at classified briefings that will delve into evidence suggesting these connections, information that was initially brought to light by a sector chief.

Gordon Chang, a China expert, shed light on the motivations behind this migration.
He pointed out the pervasive pessimism among China’s middle class, especially the younger generation, about their country’s future.
This despair is driving them to seek a better life in the United States.
However, Chang also raised a chilling possibility: some of these individuals could be agents of the Chinese military or Ministry of State Security, with intentions to carry out acts of sabotage against the U.S.
This situation presents a severe national security concern.
The influx of military-age Chinese males, possibly with harmful intentions, is seen as a direct result of the current administration’s policies.
This is not merely an immigration issue but a significant threat to the country’s safety and sovereignty. The data highlights the urgent need for action.

As the number of illegal crossings continues to climb, the implications for U.S. national security become increasingly pressing.
The potential for these migrants to have connections to Chinese military and intelligence services demands immediate attention and response from our nation’s leaders.
