Former American professional wrestler Hulk Hogan took to Instagram Wednesday to announce that he had been baptized along with his wife, Sky Daily Hogan.
“Total surrender and dedication to Jesus is the greatest day of my life,” the 70-year-old posted to Instagram, along with footage of the baptism. “No worries, no hate, no judgment… only love!”
The baptism, which involved fully submerging themselves in a large body of water, took place in a special ceremony at the Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Florida.
Hogan, sporting his trademark bandanna in white and a silver cross necklace was all smiles. Video footage shows he and his wife as they are submerged into the water.
“God is doing amazing things at Indian Rocks,” the church wrote on its Instagram account.
This is not the shared his Christian faith publicly.
“I accepted Christ as my savior at 14yrs old and the training, prayers and vitamins kept me in the game but now that I am one with God, the main event theme of surrender, service and love makes me the Real Main Event that can slam any giant of any size through the power of my Lord and Savior and so it is, even now brother, AMEN!” Hogan wrote on his X account in April.
While baptisms are performed by submersion in water, Seth Weathers, CEO of Conservative Dad’s Ultra Right Beer joked on the platform X, “Wait till people find out he was baptized in a pool filled with Conservative Dad’s Ultra Right Beer!”
All kidding aside, it is a momentous occasion and we congratulation Hogan and his wife on taking the next step in their faith.
