Brown also shared his struggle with mental health as a child and the journey to discovering his identity as a transgender individual after coming out as a lesbian.

The pregnancy came as a surprise during a break from testosterone treatments, leading to mixed emotions for both Brown and his partner.

“I took a pregnancy test and it was positive…it was like my whole world just stopped. That everything, all my manlihood that I’ve worked hard for, for so long, just completely felt like it was erased,” Brown said.

“It was really hard because how do you tell your partner, ‘Oh, I’m pregnant, but oh, I’m also your boyfriend as well,’” Brown added. “The reaction was mixed emotions for both of us.”

The article mentions that Brown chronicled his pregnancy journey on a blog and through social media. While hey received support from the LGBTQ community, Brown acknowledges that the negative reactions were expected due to the unconventional nature of their situation.

However, he asserts his existence as a trans pregnant man, emphasizing that he is “literally living proof.”

The feature and accompanying images have generated strong reactions online. Some individuals have called for boycotts reminiscent of the Bud Light campaign, while others criticize the language used in the interview, particularly the phrase “he gave birth.”

Critics argue that presenting a biological female as a pregnant man is misleading and contrary to biological realities.

In response, former trans influencer and detransition activist Oli London expressed disapproval.

Author Helen Joyce said, “Every single baby ever born was gestated within a woman’s body. But there’s only one way to get on the cover of a magazine for performing this everyday miracle.”

Conservative influencer Classically Abby made her opinion clear, remarking, “Hey look, a pregnant woman with an elective mastectomy who can’t breastfeed her child because she’s cosplaying as a man.”

Brown maintains, “We’re real living people. And at the end of the day, I am a trans pregnant man and I do exist. No matter what anyone says, I am literally living proof.”

Brown is writing a children’s book that chronicles his life journey, “My Daddy’s Belly: The Miracle of Male Birth.” The book discusses his “really bad mental health” issues as a child. He then came out as lesbian, then After coming out as lesbian, then identified as a trans and now identifies as queer.

Abigail Monroe, Sen. Josh Hawley’s, R-Mo., communications director tweeted a photo of Brown’s upcoming book.

“A biological woman is pregnant but thinks she’s a man and wrote this book. The elites and media clap like seals promoting it. Is no one brave enough to pause and say, ‘Wait. This is insane,” she wrote.
