In a stunning turn of events, Fox News has reportedly lost more than one million prime-time viewers since terminating popular conservative commentator Tucker Carlson according to a report from Radar Online.
The network’s viewership fell by approximately 1.5 million after replacing “Tucker Carlson Tonight” with “Fox News Tonight.”
Nielsen data revealed that a mere 1.7 million viewers tuned in to watch “Fox News Tonight” with “Fox & Friends” host Brian Kilmeade at 8 PM.
In contrast, Carlson drew an average of 2.5 million viewers the previous week and boasted a first-quarter average of 3.2 million viewers in 2023.
As Fox News experienced a prime-time ratings plunge, rival conservative news network Newsmax benefited from the situation.
The network saw a significant increase in viewership for “Eric Bolling the Balance” at 8 PM on Tuesday night, with 562,000 viewers tuning in—five times more than the same time slot the week before.

Surprisingly, despite the considerable drop in ratings, “Fox News Tonight” still managed to outperform its competitors at MSNBC and CNN.
However, Fox News reportedly suffered in the crucial 25 to 54 age demographic, which is vital for advertisers.
As previously reported, Fox News confirmed Carlson’s departure in a statement released on Monday morning.
The network announced that they had “agreed to part ways” with the host and thanked him for his service as both a host and contributor.
Insiders later confirmed that Carlson had been fired.
