Fox News, once the undisputed king of prime-time cable news, has suffered a major blow to its viewership.
In a surprising turn of events, MSNBC has now claimed the top spot in ratings during the crucial 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern hours.
One must wonder, how did Fox manage to make MSNBC look good?
A closer look at the ratings reveals an even more distressing picture for the former cable news heavyweight.
Gregg Re, a former head writer at “Tucker Carlson Tonight” and now a Daily Wire producer, shared alarming statistics from last Friday.
According to Re, those were “the worst demo numbers in primetime that [Fox News] has ever posted.” This refers to the crucial 25 to 54 age group, a demographic that holds significant importance.
Re’s insider perspective sheds light on the network’s decline, which some attribute to the aftermath of the 2020 election.
But it was intensified by the departure of Tucker Carlson in April, marking a turning point for Fox. Carlson, the most-watched host across all of cable news, fearlessly voiced conservative-populist views.

He challenged the military-industrial complex, questioned COVID orthodoxies, exposed the establishment media’s flaws, and unveiled the corrupt decadence of ruling elites.
Since his departure from Fox, Carlson has taken his unfiltered voice to a new platform, “Tucker on Twitter,” where he continues to captivate audiences.
One Twitter user even posted a chart demonstrating Carlson’s dominance in viewership compared to his former employer.
For conservatives, this decline comes as no surprise. They have long recognized their marginalized position within major institutions, including schools, the establishment media, the entertainment industry, and woke corporations.
Fox News used to provide a refuge from this ostracization, offering at least the presence of Carlson’s truthful commentary. However, the network seems to have lost its way, succumbing to the pressures of woke culture and silencing its own honest voices.
Conservatives are taking notice and making their exodus.
They know where they stand with Fox, and these plummeting ratings suggest that outraged conservatives will continue to voice their discontent, just as they did with Bud Light and Target.
It remains to be seen how Fox News will respond to this wave of disapproval, but one thing is clear: the network is facing a turning point in its history.
