In the midst of economic gloom and rising inflation, one company has launched a program to give people a boost when they are hard pressed. Domino’s Pizza is offering its customers a unique “Emergency Pizza” program. This innovative program aims to provide a complimentary medium two-topping pizza to customers for times when they most “need” it.

“Perhaps you burned dinner, the power went out or maybe your in-laws just dropped in without notice — whatever your emergency situation, Domino’s believes a free pizza can make anything better,” expressed Kate Trumbull, Domino’s senior vice president and chief brand officer, in an official press release.

Trumbull further elaborated on the program’s inception, stating, “With so much uncertainty in everyday life, we believe everyone needs a pizza pick-me-up at some point.”

Customers eager to avail themselves of this offering can do so by placing an online delivery order worth $7.99 or above. This automatically entitles them to the emergency pizza perk, as revealed in the press release.

However, there’s a catch. To claim this “emergency” treat, customers need to be a part of Domino’s newly launched loyalty program which offers exclusive benefits to its members. The free pizza can then be claimed within a span of 30 days following the initial online carryout order.

For those marking their calendars, it’s essential to note that this unique opportunity will be available from the present date up until Feb. 11, 2024. The Domino’s press release did highlight specific blackout dates, mentioning that the offer may not be valid on Oct. 31, Dec. 31, or Feb. 11.

Highlighting the company’s robust growth, last year Domino’s global retail sales exceeding a staggering $17.5 billion. These figures were nearly split down the middle between U.S. sales ($8.7 billion) and international transactions ($8.8 billion).

Furthermore, in just the second quarter of 2023, Domino’s registered sales of over $4.2 billion, with each of the American and international markets contributing $2.1 billion.

The press release also shed light on Domino’s esteemed position in the global market, emphasizing that the company “ranks among the world’s top public restaurant brands with a global enterprise of more than 20,000 stores in over 90 markets.”

In addition to the “Emergency Pizza” initiative, Domino’s made waves in the past year by launching a novel delivery technology, which empowers customers to get their pizzas delivered virtually anywhere or to place an emergency order if required.

Domino’s “Emergency Pizza” Program will surely boost the company’s financial performance and offer their customers a welcome gift.

“The hardest part may just be deciding when to use your Emergency Pizza!” Trumbull said.
