Respected conservative watchdog group, the American Accountability Foundation (AAF), has conducted a thorough investigation into the Biden administration’s plans for artificial intelligence (AI).
The findings suggest that the administration might be attempting to integrate left-leaning ideologies into AI systems, a claim that has ignited concern among various sectors.
Tom Jones, president of the AAF, revealed in a discussion with Fox News Digital, that President Biden’s tech policy advisors appear to be more focused on socio-political concerns rather than scientific considerations.
“Under the guise of fighting ‘algorithmic discrimination’ and ‘harmful bias,’ the Biden administration is trying to rig AI to follow the woke left’s rules,” Jones reported.
He continued to add, “Biden is being advised on technology policy, not by scientists, but by racially obsessed social academics and activists. We’ve already seen the biggest tech firms in the world, like Google under Eric Schmidt, use their power to push the left’s agenda. This would take the tech/woke alliance to a whole new, truly unsettling level.”
The AAF memo brought attention to a document titled “Blueprint for an AI Bill of Rights” published last October by the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.
The document warns against “algorithmic discrimination” and proposes proactive equity assessments during system design.
Arati Prabhakar, director of Biden’s Office of Science and Technology Policy, seemed to back this sentiment.
Speaking at the Summit for Democracy, she commended Biden’s executive order signed earlier this year that promotes data equity and the fight against algorithmic discrimination.
The AAF memo pointed out the National Artificial Intelligence Research and Development Strategic Plan, released in May under the White House’s Select Committee on Artificial Intelligence.
The plan encourages more resources to tackle harmful biases and emphasizes understanding how AI can help reduce inequities.
It’s noteworthy that Vice President Kamala Harris, named “AI czar” by President Biden, expressed similar concerns about racial bias in AI, stating, “When we look at … issues like AI and machine learning, there is a real need to be very concerned about how being built into it is racial bias,” during her tenure as a senator from California.

Further intensifying the concern is the appointment of Miriam Vogel, CEO of EqualAI, to chair the National AI Advisory Committee.
EqualAI is a non-profit organization that aims to minimize unconscious bias in AI.
In 2021, EqualAI collaborated with the World Economic Forum to launch a program aimed at ensuring responsible and inclusive AI practices.
The report by the National AI Advisory Committee in May emphasized President Biden’s interest in eliminating bias, including algorithmic discrimination.
This subject comes into the spotlight as AI is a growing field and has gained traction, especially after the release of AI tool ChatGPT.
Notably, entrepreneur Elon Musk warned of the potential misuse of AI technology, stating, “The danger of training AI to be woke — in other words, lie — is deadly.”
The AAF’s revealing study marks the beginning of an in-depth exploration into the possible influence of progressive ideologies on AI.
The group has signaled that it will continue this investigation, promising more startling revelations to come.
