The House Oversight and Accountability Committee is advancing its investigation into President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden over concerns of foreign financial dealings during Biden’s tenure as vice president.
With the release of another set of bank records on Wednesday by Panel Chair James Comer, R-Ky., evidence now suggests payments surpassing $20 million from Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan during the Obama administration.
In a straightforward statement, Comer expressed on Twitter, “Joe Biden was aware of his son’s business transactions and misled the American public.
While serving as the vice president, the Biden name appears to have been leveraged for financial gain.”
Discussing the matter on Fox Business, Comer remarked, “Ultimately, the Bidens will need to address these concerns before the committee. Given the resistance we’ve encountered, it’s likely that legal steps, including subpoenas, will be necessary.”
In response, the president’s legal representatives argue that the allegations do not directly implicate Joe Biden in Hunter’s business activities.

Comer, during his appearance on Newsmax, emphasized the necessity of transparency from the president’s team, saying, “If there is no wrongdoing, the president should willingly present their financial records.”
After being questioned about recent congressional testimony from Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s former business associate, President Biden stated, “I never discussed business with anyone,” before cutting short the interaction with the journalist.
Archer had previously informed congressional officials that then-Vice President Biden was sometimes present during calls and meetings where foreign businessmen could hear his voice.
This purportedly enhanced the allure for foreign entities to engage in financial transactions, potentially to gain favor with the higher echelons of the Obama administration.
