NextImg:CO Ballot Exclusion of Trump Backfiring: Key Players Calling for Biden to Be Removed Over Border

The unconscionable Colorado Supreme Court decision to exclude Donald Trump from the state’s ballot, in what many believe to be a political maneuver to sideline the former president on very dicey grounds, may very well may backfire. Many prominent Republicans are now calling for President Biden to removed over his complete mishandling of the border.

The Colorado Supreme Court in a 4-3 decision rooted their ruling in the 14th Amendment’s “insurrection clause” that prohibits anyone who has sworn an oath to uphold the Constitution, including members of Congress, officers of the United States, or state executives and judicial officers, from engaging in insurrection.

They made this determination under the presumption that Trump was involved in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack even though there has been no criminal trial against the former president.

This has left the door wide open for conservatives to use the similar assumptions surrounding Joe Biden.

Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick told Fox News’ Laura Ingraham that maybe Joe Biden should face the same scrutiny.

“In fact, seeing what happened in Colorado, Laura makes me think, except we believe in democracy in Texas. Maybe we should take Joe Biden off the ballot in Texas for allowing 8 million people to cross the border since he has been president. Disrupting our state far more than anything anyone else has done in recent history,” Patrick said.

“And so, this is so outrageous. 10,000, 12,000, 14,000 people a day crossing the border. Eight million people since he’s been in office. Enough to be the 12th largest state, it’s incredible,” Patrick continued.

The Lt. Governor was not the only one drawing this conclusion. 2024 presidential candidate and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis also endorsed this idea.

“There was no trial for any of this. They basically just said [Trump] can’t be on the ballot. How does that work? What’s the limiting principle for that?,” DeSantis questioned.

“Could we just say Biden can’t be on the ballot because he let in eight million illegals into the country, and violated the Constitution? Which he has. Could we just say they have money coming to Hunter?” he continued.

Senior Advisor to former President Trump Stephen Miller took it a step further, outlining a case on the platform “X” to go all out against Biden and his supporters.

Don Bongino took at different tact, focusing on the alleged corruption of the Biden taking money from CCP.

“Joe Biden by taking money from the CCP in the form of a $40k check (we have the bank records for).. .. Joe Biden is engaged in an act of insurrection and we should take him off the ballot too.”

Meanwhile Biden refuses to denounce the Colorado Supreme Court decision in any way.

“He certainly supported an insurrection. No question about it. None. Zero. He seems to be doubling down on about everything,” Biden said of Trump.

It will be interesting to see if Biden finds himself off the ballot in Texas and Florida or if they are just hollow threats. The case will surely go to the US Supreme Court where many predict it will be 9-0 ruling in favor of putting Trump back on the ballot.
