Climate activist Greta Thunberg finds herself in the center of controversy yet again. This time she abandoned her woke climate agenda to make a statement regarding the Israel-Hamas War via X.com. The original post, now deleted, was pro-Palestine and included a blue stuffed octopus which many claim is a symbol of anti-Semitism.
Twenty-year-old Thunberg wrote, “Today we are striking in solidarity with Palestine and Gaza. The world needs to speak up and call for an immediate ceasefire, justice and freedom for Palestinians and all civilians affected.”
Thunberg found herself on the defensive. Many on social media slammed her for not condemning Hamas their barbaric attack on Israel while many others questioned why she and the three other activists in the photo included a blue octopus, calling it an ‘anti-Semitic trope’ for an imaginary worldwide Jewish conspiracy.
Thunberg deleted the original post and replaced it with a new phot showing the octopus cropped out.
“It has come to my knowledge that the stuffed animal shown in my earlier post can be interpreted as a symbol for antisemitism, which I was completely unaware of,” Thunberg wrote.
“The toy in the picture is a tool often used by autistic people as a way to communicate feelings. We are of course against any type of discrimination, and condemn antisemitism in all forms and shapes. This is non-negotiable. That is why I deleted the last post,” she continued.
Thunberg’s retraction went over about as well as her original post.
In the end, she said nothing about the brutal massacre Hamas perpetrated on Israel leaving 1,400 viciously murdered whether they were tortured, raped, burned alive first or just plain shot. There were over 5,000 injured and over 200 taken prisoner into Gaza.

Most were not buying her story about the octopus being used as an emotional support for her autism.
“It’s almost sounds as if you’re the small helpless autistic victim,” one person responded. “What about this small, helpless autistic girl that was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists?”
Many were quick to put Thunberg in her place.
Many shared some of the atrocities Hamas committed to remind Thunberg who she is supporting.
Hopefully Thunberg will think before she dives off her woke green platform again.
