NextImg:BLM Leader Has Had Enough of Dem Policies, 'We're Not Stupid': Voices Support for Trump in 2024

In a surprising turn of events, Mark Fisher, co-founder of Black Lives Matter Rhode Island, has thrown his support behind former President Donald Trump in the upcoming 2024 presidential race.

Fisher’s endorsement of Trump comes with a scathing critique of the Democratic Party, which he accuses of pursuing racist policies that harm the black community.

Fisher articulated his stance during an appearance on “Fox & Friends,” where he discussed the increasing number of black voters considering a departure from the Democratic Party in the upcoming election.

He pointed to what he sees as the Democrats’ duplicity and hypocrisy, asserting, “We understand when someone’s for us and when someone is not, and it’s obvious that the Democratic Party is not for us.”

One of Fisher’s primary contentions is that Democratic policies have a detrimental impact on the black family and the concept of the nuclear family.

He argues that these policies fail to value the black vote and, in his words, are “basically racist policies.”

Fisher’s perspective is clear: he believes that the Democratic Party, as it stands today, is inherently racist.

In contrast, Fisher holds Trump in high regard for advocating policies aimed at uplifting the black community.

He contends that Trump has achieved more for the black community than any other president in recent memory.

Fisher’s endorsement of Trump aligns with a recent New York Times/Siena College poll that revealed a substantial increase in black voter support for Trump in battleground states won by President Biden in 2020.

The poll indicates that black voters in these states, including Nevada, Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, now show 22 percent support for Trump, a significant increase from the 8 percent he garnered in 2020.

Additionally, a May poll found that only 41 percent of black adults wanted Biden to run for a second term, and just 55 percent said they would likely support him in the general election.

These figures stand in stark contrast to Biden’s initial high approval ratings among black voters.

Fisher attributes the continued support for the Democratic Party among some black voters to misinformation and a lack of education about Trump’s policies and their positive impact on the black community.

He emphasizes the need for informed leaders to disseminate this information and believes that, once educated, more black voters will naturally gravitate towards Trump.

Despite his political shift, Fisher maintains his affiliation with Black Lives Matter and continues to advocate for a message of unity.

He aspires to unite marginalized groups and bring them to the center, emphasizing the strength of a united nation.
