During a recent address on mental health, President Biden sparked a flurry of criticism on social media after boldly declaring that his administration had “ended cancer as we know it.”

This statement, made at the White House, was part of a broader discussion of his ‘unity agenda’ and his commitment to addressing the country’s mental health crisis.

Addressing his fellow Americans, the president stated, “One of the things I’m always asked is why Americans have sort of lost faith for a while in being able to do big things. If you could do anything at all, Joe, what would you do? I said I’d cure cancer.”

“They looked at me like, why cancer? Because no one thinks we can. That’s why, and we can. We ended cancer as we know it,” he continued.

The audacious remark was not well received online, with several critics fact-checking Biden’s claim and others questioning the validity of his assertion.

State Freedom Caucus Network Communication Director Greg Price commented, “The dementia is so bad that now he thinks he cured cancer.”

A particularly sarcastic tweet came from actor Nick Searcy, who wrote, “Hey, @joebiden cured cancer, everybody! He just announced it! He did it with all the money Hunter got him from other countries! He’s a cancer-curing child-sniffing cocaine-doing hero! Bow down, Democrats, to the end of cancer hero!”

Conservative influencer Rogan O’Handley (@dc_draino) and Collin Rugg, co-owner of Trending Politics, also shared their disbelief, with Rugg adding a follow-up tweet stating, “Don’t question him. Joe is the 2nd smartest person I know of (Hunter is 1st).”

The Media Research Center offered a direct rebuttal to the president’s claim, stating, “Fact-Check: Joe Biden has not cured cancer.”

President Biden has long been vocal about his mission to “cure cancer,” a commitment solidified following the loss of his son, Beau Biden, to brain cancer in 2015.

Biden led the “Cancer Moonshot” program during the Obama administration in 2016, renewing the focus on finding a cure for cancer.

In 2022, he resurrected the program with the aim of reducing the cancer death rate by at least 50% within 25 years and transitioning fatal cancers to treatable conditions.

Despite his determined resolve, there is no cure for cancer to date.

Maybe it is really time for Biden administration to admit Joe is just not up to the job and end these constant blunders and falls. One has to start to question at what point do we consider this all elder abuse.
