The Biden administration’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has come under scrutiny for its involvement in an “anti-terrorism” program that allegedly directed funds to an organization that equated conservative and Christian groups with neo-Nazis and terrorists.

A report by the Media Research Center (MRC) indicates that the program, known as the Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention Grant Program (TVTP), distributed nearly $40 million to various organizations in an effort to prevent targeted violence and terrorism.

According to the MRC report, the University of Dayton, which received a grant of $352,109 through the TVTP program, included in its grant application a video presentation by Michael Loadenthal, a research fellow at the University of Cincinnati.

Loadenthal’s presentation featured a “Pyramid of Far-Right Radicalization” chart, which portrayed mainstream conservative news outlets and organizations such as The Heritage Foundation, Fox News, the National Rifle Association, PragerU, Turning Point USA, and the Christian Broadcasting Network as conduits to neo-Nazism.

Loadenthal’s affiliation with Antifa and his social media posts celebrating acts of left-wing violence have raised concerns about his biases.

In a seminar titled “White Nationalism Workshop,” Loadenthal even detailed illegal tactics to “destabilize” political movements, such as creating fake social media accounts on platforms like Telegram, Gab, and Rumble.

He also revealed his involvement in doxxing right-wing individuals and organizations by contacting their employers, landlords, commanding officers, school officials, family, and clergy.

Should this DHS program be disbanded?

Loadenthal advocated for pressuring financial services and online platforms to remove individuals deemed far-right or fascist.

The MRC report suggests that Loadenthal’s views represent an effort to silence conservative voices by denying them public platforms and physically preventing them from assembling.

Loadenthal admitted to instigating confrontations with self-described “white supremacists” in the past, emphasizing the strategy of deplatforming.

At the same seminar where Loadenthal presented his chart, Alexander Hinton, a faculty member at Rutgers University specializing in genocide research, likened the Trump administration to the Khmer Rouge, a Cambodian regime responsible for the deaths of millions of people.

Nicole Widdersheim, a speaker at the event and deputy Washington director for Human Rights Watch, compared Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ proposal for a volunteer civilian military force to assist the National Guard during emergencies to the Holocaust.

MRC Free Speech America Vice President Dan Schneider condemned the targeting of Christians, conservatives, and Republicans, calling it “abhorrent and criminal.”

The MRC urged an investigation and criminal prosecution, emphasizing the need to hold those involved accountable for their actions under civil rights laws.

A DHS representative stated that the grant was unrelated to the conference seminars mentioned in the university’s application and disavowed any association with the controversial chart.

However, the university’s grant application indicated that the conference was relevant to its work on violent extremism prevention.

In August 2020, then-presidential candidate Joe Biden pledged to replace the Trump administration’s Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention Program with his own approach.

Under Biden and Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, the Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships was established as the parent department of the TVTP grant program, focusing on combating domestic violent extremism, including violent white supremacy.

The MRC’s findings are part of a series of instances in which the government has targeted political opponents, prompting Representative Jim Jordan, chairman of the Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, to call for investigations.

The MRC report concludes that there is more evidence to be presented regarding the Biden administration’s alleged targeting of conservatives, Christians, and the Republican Party.

These developments come on the heels of the recently released Durham report, which exposed disinformation campaigns by the Obama administration, Hillary Clinton’s campaign, deep state operatives, and the corporate media.

The report revealed efforts to justify surveillance on Donald Trump’s campaign, interfere in the 2016 election, and undermine Trump’s presidency.

Additionally, whistleblowers in a recent hearing hosted by the Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government accused the FBI of engaging in corrupt and partisan activities, manipulating statistics, targeting political opponents, and retaliating against whistleblowers.

As MRC Free Speech America obtains more documents through its FOIA initiative, further evidence of the Biden administration’s alleged targeting of conservatives, Christians, and the Republican Party is expected to come to light.
