



In a devastating turn of events, the southern Baltimore neighborhood of Brooklyn was engulfed in chaos early Sunday morning as a mass shooting unfolded at a block party.
The aftermath left up to 30 people shot, with two lives tragically lost.
Acting Commissioner Rich Worley, at a press conference, revealed the grim details that have shaken the community to its core.
According to Worley, law enforcement officers were inundated with distress calls reporting the appalling incident shortly after 12:30 a.m.
Responding swiftly, the first responders arrived at the scene to find an 18-year-old woman, tragically deceased.
As the horrifying reality began to unfold, nine individuals were transported to local hospitals, while an additional 20 sought medical attention on their own accord. The severity of the situation became even more apparent when a 20-year-old man succumbed to his injuries, and three others were left in critical condition, fighting for their lives.
The prevailing chaos left the community in a state of shock and grief, with a palpable sense of urgency to bring the perpetrator to justice. However, as of now, no suspect has been apprehended.
Commissioner Worley assured the public that investigators are meticulously analyzing available video footage and conducting interviews with eyewitnesses in their relentless pursuit of the assailant.
Authorities are urging anyone with pertinent information regarding the shooting to come forward and assist the ongoing investigation.
Mayor Brandon Scott lamented the tragic event, emphasizing that it was an “absolute tragedy that did not have to happen.”
