NextImg:Shameless Accomplice Media Spins Again For Obama And Friends

It’s hard to shame the shameless. You’ve seen corporate media’s work.

Case in point, sham TV journalist Kristen Welker. The Meet the Press host on Sunday morning ridiculously insisted that there is “nothing new” in the reams of recently declassified documents showing President Barack Obama and his deep state droogs lighting the fuse on the Russia collusion hoax. She scolded Sen. Lindsey Graham for asserting as much, telling the South Carolina Republican that Obama had “weighed in through a spokesperson” who has said the facts of the scandal are “just patently false.”

After all, if you can’t trust an Obama spokesperson who can you trust?

Welker wanted Graham and the growing number of Americans having a hard time believing anything she says that she “actually spoke to Susan Miller,” the retired senior CIA officer who served as one of the authors of the twisted 2017 report on Russian interference in the 2016 election. Miller has become the propaganda press’ go-to source to try to tamp down the heat the old deep state guard is feeling these days. Miller, Welker vehemently declared, “says it’s completely false that Obama or anyone else asked them to change or sway their investigation.”

So, the former intelligence agent who helped oversee the politically-driven Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) is making the rounds to defend her work? No doubt she was there. But so were several other career intelligence community officials who had deep misgivings about the incredibly suspect information being used to put in motion the infamous FBI investigation. Crossfire Hurricane, as the probe was sensationally named, was aimed at sabotaging President Donald Trump’s first term in office.

‘What You Don’t Seem to Acknowledge’

Graham pointed to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence staff report that details the shoddy construction of the ICA. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard declassified the report, mothballed since 2020.

“I am trying to let you know and the media know that we found something we didn’t know before,” Graham interrupted Welker after her breathless defense of the Obama White House. In typical soft-serve senator fashion, Graham said he wasn’t calling for Obama to be prosecuted for treason as some have. He simply wants a new investigation, a special prosecutor-led probe, into how Democrats in power arrived at the false accusation that Trump colluded with the Kremlin to win the White House. Those accusations ruined the lives of a lot of people.

“For years, and months, and days, and weeks, people had their lives turned upside down, chasing the [special counsel Robert] Mueller narrative that Trump was in bed with the Russians, that the Trump campaign was colluding with the Russians. The only people colluding with the Russians were the Hillary Clinton campaign and Christopher Steele manufacturing a document to get warrants against Carter Page, based on lies and falsehoods. So, yeah, I’m very familiar with it. What you don’t seem to acknowledge is there’s something new being found. Rather than reinventing the wheel here, let’s go back to a special counsel model to look at this something new.”

Welker was aghast. So much so she made an outlandish claim and tried to sell it as the truth.

“Senator, you’re saying there’s something new. This report goes back to 2020. It’s five years old. There’s actually nothing new in this report and nothing that changes anything …” the talking head said as Graham cut her off. She’s wrong on all counts.

“It’s new to me,” he said. It’s new to most Americans not privy to the plotting of Obama and his intelligence community henchmen. The report had been classified, sealed. Now it is in the public domain. To say that’s “nothing new” is the height of absurdity and audacity.

Sensing she was caught again in journalistic junk science, Welker quickly tried to change the subject.

“I want to talk about Gaza, senator,” she interrupted.

Graham wasn’t having it.

“You’re trying to sweep this stuff under the rug. And that’s not right,” the senator said.

The Documents are Talking

Graham is right. Welker and her corporate media colleagues have ignored or downplayed the bombshell documents that have shaken Americans’ crumbling faith in their government. A Rasmussen poll last week found 60 percent of likely U.S. voters believe the Obama administration’s manufactured intelligence in “Russiagate” is a scandal, but just 28 percent believe there will be prosecutions.

When you think about how much airtime the broadcast networks devoted to promoting the phony Russia collusion narrative in Trump’s first term compared to what they’ve done with evidence debunking the lie, it’s criminal.

A report by Tim Graham, Executive Editor of the Media Research Center’s NewsBusters, found that the networks devoted over 2,284 minutes to Russiagate coverage during Trump’s presidency, but ignored or downplayed recent disclosures from Gabbard showing the Obama administration may have framed Trump. The analysis shows that on the day they were released, ABC and NBC provided zero coverage of the damning declassified docs, while CBS gave just 41 seconds.

“The next day, CBS and NBC reported on Gabbard suspiciously on the morning shows. NBC’s Garrett Haake denounced ‘Tulsi Gabbard attempting to rewrite the history of Russia’s 2016 election interference, accusing former President Obama without evidence of manipulating intelligence.’ She brought evidence, and they still scream ‘without evidence,’” Graham wrote in a column for Fox News.

“These broadcast ‘institutions’ are not about to unravel a Russian-collusion narrative that they relentlessly promoted during Trump’s first term,” the media tracker added.

But the unsealed documents are talking, like a thumping heart beneath the floorboards of the corrupt Obama White House. As The Federalist’s Margot Cleveland wrote on Monday, “the recently declassified material reveals former President Barack Obama sought to continue the Russia-collusion hoax Hillary Clinton had launched during the presidential campaign by directing select members of his intelligence community to craft the deceptive Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) on Russia’s efforts to influence the 2016 election. However, a close reading of these documents reveals Obama holds even more culpability than previously discussed.”

An honest media would take a closer look. The accomplice media can’t. They have made their bed many, many times but refuse to sleep in it. As the corrupt political and deep state leaders they have dutifully served and protected go down, so too will any semblance of trust left in the news outlets that repeatedly have lied to Americans.

That’s a shame. But, then again, corporate media have no shame to lose and they know it.
