So it turns out, Donald Trump isn’t dead, no matter how badly the rabid anti-Trump media and Tim Walz wish he was. The New York Times is out with a piece this week from Katie Rogers heralding this news, which should have already been obvious: “Trump is alive.”
But the piece does more than that. It takes a deep dive into the minutia of Trump’s bill of health, including his high cholesterol, a bruise he has, and the fact that he takes aspirin and sometimes asks reporters to repeat themselves if he’s in a large room with lots of background noise and doesn’t hear them the first time. Really hard-hitting journalism.
But if you look super closely, you might just catch a slight difference in the way the media are covering Trump’s health versus how they covered Joe Biden’s health over the course of his presidency.
Rogers writes: “For years, justifiable concerns and questions about Mr. Trump’s health have often been met with obfuscation or minimal explanation from the people around him. Mr. Trump’s physicians have not taken questions from reporters in years, and there were no medical briefings held after an assassination attempt against him in Butler, Pa., last summer.”
You know what else? Sometimes, Trump even conceals a hand bruise, and you can tell because he uses the wrong shade of Maybelline New York. It’s all part of a cover-up, you see.
Meanwhile, when Joe Biden was nine months older than Trump is now, The New York Times went with this framing for the former president: “President Biden Is Turning 80. Experts Say Age Is More Than a Number.” Seriously. Get a load of this:

Oh, well, if the experts say so.
Then The Times seriously wrote this sentence: “Scientists who study aging stress that chronological age is not the same as biological age. … In people who are active, experts say” — there are the experts again! — “the brain continues to evolve and some brain functions can even improve.” Maybe some geriatrics are evolving into geniuses, I don’t know. But these “experts” were either blind or liars or both if they thought the function of Biden’s pudding brain was “improving.”
Here’s another from The New York Times in February of 2023, with the headline: “Biden’s Doctor Says He Is ‘Healthy’ and ‘Vigorous’”:

In other words, Biden is doing amazing — he’s sharp as ever — but Republicans pounce!
Here’s an Axios headline from October 2023: “Trump has his own age problem as he mocks 80-year-old Biden’s fitness.” And here’s the lede: “Joe Biden’s age is a big theme of the 2024 campaign, but if Donald Trump wins the presidency he’d also be the oldest person ever to be inaugurated — and his campaign has disclosed far less about his health than the White House has about the president.”
Ooo, scandalous. The nonstop rally-hosting former president “disclosed” less about his health than the visibly ailing sitting president.
The kicker is, this article was written the same month as Biden’s infamous interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur about his classified documents scandal — you know, the interview that led Hur not to recommend charges to the Department of Justice, in part, because, “Biden would likely present himself to the jury, as he did during our interview with him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.” According to Hur’s report, Biden couldn’t remember personally significant facts, such as when he was vice president or even when his son Beau had died. Hur said Biden’s memory “appeared to have significant limitations.”
But there’s more! This Axios article is written by none other than Alex Thompson, who co-authored the book Original Sin with Jake Tapper about “President Biden’s decline” and “its cover-up.”
Hmmm, kind of seems like you were in on the cover-up there, Alex.
This is par for the course for corporate media. They lie, and they lie, and then they lie some more. It’s why they noted after the latest transgender school shooting that “Donald Trump” had been written on the gun — as if to suggest the killer was a pro-Trump fanatic — even though what was actually scrawled on the gun was “Kill Donald Trump.” It’s why they churn out bogus “fact-checks” that add ridiculous “context.” It’s why they parrot terrorist propaganda from the Gaza Health Ministry, rely on anonymous sources and so-called experts, and hide blockbuster news under boring headlines while giving nothingburger news the most salacious headlines imaginable. For legacy media, it’s not about telling the truth. It’s about doing the best darn PR for Democrats they possibly can.
You know, maybe the fact that Trump is the president they have to write about once again tells you a little something about how that PR is going.
