We are seeking a creative and experienced TV Writer to join our team for a news commentary and analysis show. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in journalism, political analysis, and a passion for storytelling. The TV Writer will work closely with the show’s producers, correspondents, and commentators to develop compelling and informative scripts that provide insightful analysis and commentary on current events.
– Develop and write scripts for news commentary and analysis show
– Collaborate with producers, correspondents, and commentators to develop storylines and segments
– Conduct research and analysis on current events, politics, and social issues
– Write monologues, segment introductions, and scripts for on-air personalities
– Review and edit scripts to ensure accuracy and fairness in reporting
– Attend production meetings and participate in brainstorming sessions
– Stay up to date with current events, political developments, and media trends
– Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field
– 5+ years of experience in news commentary and analysis writing for television or digital media
– Strong understanding of current events, politics, and social issues
– Excellent writing skills, including the ability to write for different formats and tones
– Strong research and analytical skills
– Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
– Ability to work collaboratively with other writers, producers, and on-air personalities
– Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and fairness in reporting
The hourly pay range for this role is between $30 and $60. The quoted hourly range represents our good faith estimate as to what our candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range accordingly to the selected candidate’s experience, locations, technical skills, and other factors.
