We finally know how the FBI’s Trump-Russia investigation began all the way back on July 31, 2016.
The official story was that a Trump campaign advisor—George Papadopoulos—got drunk at a bar in London and spilled the beans on the Russia collusion plot to an Australian diplomat, who then took the information to the U.S. embassy in London, which then informed the FBI.
Papadopoulos has always denied that that is what happened, but that didn’t change the official narrative—nor the media’s narrative. They kept pushing the fake origin tale about a drunken encounter in a London bar.
Well, Special Counsel John Durham’s report (pdf) has finally revealed what really happened in that London bar—and it wasn’t anything like what the FBI, the DOJ, and the media have been telling us these past seven years.
