


Biden War Resolution Sends US Troops to Africa; WHO Warns of ‘Huge Biological Risk’ as Sudan Fighters Break Into Virus Lab
President Joe Biden has signed a war powers resolution, and will deploy U.S. troops to the African nations of Djibouti, Ethiopia, and Sudan. The military deployment is taking place under the shadow of a widening war in Sudan, and Biden says the troops will help protect U.S. personnel in the region. At the same time, however, the U.S. State Department will not be evacuating American citizens from the area.
Meanwhile, the war between Russia and Ukraine is escalating into deeper tensions between Russia and NATO. Pentagon intelligence leaks detailing U.S. troops on the ground has led Russia to declare it is in a “hot war” with the United States.
