France has been humiliated by vicious wokeists after incredibly violent, destructive riots by mostly underage youth of immigrant African and Middle-Eastern backgrounds.

This was sparked by an incident in which a decorated police officer shot dead a 17-year-old thug of Algerian descent who tried to escape after defying police orders.

The incident with 17-year-old Nahel Merzouk occurred on June 27. It was filmed and posted on social media – leading to an outburst of rioting, arson, looting, and assault committed mostly by unruly teenagers of African and Arab origin.

While the riots subsided somewhat in the past few days, the shocking violence in the first week after the incident led to headlines such as “France Has Fallen,” as per a Gateway Pundit report.

French police officer Florian M., who is now accused of committing “voluntary manslaughter,” has been kept in custody. Yet, his lawyer asked for his release because French prison might present a threat to his client’s life.

The officer spoke from his cell at his pretrial hearing this Thursday, behaving calmly and speaking clearly, a report notes. The court rejected his attorney’s motion to free him.

The lawyer argued Florian M. would be safer in public with police protection than he would be in detention – hinting his client’s life might be threatened by criminals.

Lienard’s plea that the officer was a public servant all his life, and not a drug dealer or a criminal, fell on deaf ears.

Florian M. recounted before court that he asked Nahel to pull over. This happened after the latter was driving a “high-powered rental” Mercedes car in a lane for buses.

The teenager raced off. He had to be chased by the officer and his partner on motorcycles amid a “dangerous” pursuit in Nanterre.

The officer said he opened fire only after Nahel stopped, but started again to race off; he feared his colleague would be crushed between the Mercedes and a wall.

Two minors aged 17 and 14 who were in the car claimed Florian M. said he would put a bullet in Nahel’s head, which the officer denied.

Nahel Merzouk had a rap sheet of 15 counts, among them five cases of evading arrest after being pulled over for driving without a license. The officer, Florian M., is a French military veteran, honored with a medal for his role in a 2021 kidnapping.
