TikTok users never cease to amaze. This time, they’ve really stepped it up a notch, as a video of men, women, and children standing up for the US National Anthem started circulating on the platform.
However, instead of praising these patriots for their dedication to this country and its values, the woke section of TikTok stared at the video in horror, shocked by what they were seeing.
In typical Gen Z lib fashion, they went on to describe the sight as being akin to something out of some dystopian novel, almost as if standing up and singing the National Anthem isn’t something common for all the countries across the globe.
Someone’s been watching way too much Hunger Games and it shows. The “Star Spangled Banner” has been around for far longer than the entirety of TikTok’s user base and the aforementioned book series.
The video itself was posted to the platform by a woman who claimed the situation to have been the most dangerous experience in her entire life, following it up with a number of hashtags you’d expect to see on some BLM propaganda post.
For some reason, the hashtag #whitepeoplethings was also included, even though a number of black and Hispanic Americans were visible in the shot, almost as if national pride is something exclusive to white Americans.
Unfortunately, TikTok is nothing more than a woke echo chamber. It didn’t take long for the post to be trending on the platform, amassing 17k comments in a short time, the majority of them disgusted with the display of patriotism.
Taking note of these comments feels like a crime in and of itself, just for the fact they all come from persons completely detached from reality, with one of the commenters saying that the scene looks like something out of a horror film.
A TikTok user from the UK also found themselves confused with the contents of the video, pretending that it’s not something the Brits also do when their National Anthem plays.
