



Conservatives need to be much more skeptical about technology and the supposed “progress” we are being promised. Most recently, Amazon locked a man out of his smart home for supposedly being “racist.”
Yes, seriously. Is this the future we want?
Brandon Jackson has had a smart home for a while now. He set it up via the Amazon Echo service. Unexpectedly, his Echo service stopped working.
Jackson said on May 25, his Alex-type devices and Echo stopped listening to the commands he gave. At first, he thought he had been hacked, but then he found out something even more bizarre.
His smart home had been deactivated because of false accusations of racism.
Jackson realized he’d received a delivery to his home on May 24 and his Echo stopped working the next day.
He went to check if his other accounts (like apps, social networks, etc.) had any kind of problem and found that they were fine.
Though his question remained unanswered. He called Amazon to find out what was happening and that’s when things got very, very weird.
Amazon said his services had been disrupted because of “user misconduct.” Jackson was accused of racism!
The employee from Amazon’s call center told Jackson that the company already sent an email explaining the reason for the suspension of his Echo service.
Jackson checked his email. It claimed he’d been locked out of his house and barred from using his smart home services because a delivery guy heard something racist when ringing his doorbell.
There was nobody home on the day of the alleged evidence. Jackson, who is black, thinks the delivery guy must have heard something that wasn’t said. After explaining this to Amazon, Jackson had his services restored on May 31.
Amazon hasn’t even apologized.
Be very careful about getting a smart home, because in the future if the Biden regime or other leftist corporations don’t like you, then you could end up homeless.
