Data from Wisconsin and other studies have exposed a disturbing trend that contradicts the narrative propagated by Democrats regarding who truly needs protection from violence.
The left’s crusade to appease transgender individuals is not only impacting prisons, but also affecting women’s rights in sports, bathrooms, locker rooms, entertainment, and advertising.
Take for instance, Lia Thomas, a transgender woman, whose presence in the women’s locker room and victory in NCAA Division 1 has sparked controversy.
Also, consider the nonbinary rugby player, previously known as the “hardest hitter” on the men’s team, who reportedly injured three players during a women’s rugby match. It appears that no women’s space is immune to this encroachment.
A startling report from The Daily Signal reveals over half of the male inmates identifying as transgender in the Wisconsin Department of Corrections have been convicted of sexual assault or sexual abuse.
Out of 161 male inmates claiming to be transgender, 81 have been convicted of at least one count of sexual assault or sexual abuse. These crimes range from child exploitation to rape and incest.
The Department of Corrections has not disclosed whether these inmates are housed in male or female facilities, but state policy suggests that transgender inmates could be placed in facilities that do not align with their biological sex.
Despite these alarming statistics, Democrats continue to push for policies that could potentially place predatory men in women’s spaces.
The Equality Act, introduced in both the 116th and 117th Congress, seeks to prohibit discrimination based on sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
This would mean institutions like prisons could not prevent men who identify as women from entering women’s spaces.
President Joe Biden and his administration have been vocal supporters of the Equality Act, arguing that it would provide long overdue federal civil rights protections to transgender and LGBTQI+ Americans.
They believe that this law is key to addressing the high levels of violence against trans-identified people. In addition to advocating for the Equality Act, the Biden administration plans to strengthen protections for incarcerated transgender individuals.
It aims to do this by improving access to gender-affirming care and allowing inmates to be placed in facilities that align with their gender identity.
This issue is not confined to Wisconsin. A law enacted in California in January 2021 allows male inmates, including serial rapists, to be transferred to women’s prisons based on individual preference.
Following the law’s implementation, hundreds of male inmates requested transfers to women’s prisons, leading to the distribution of contraceptives such as condoms and Plan B to manage potential consequences.
Studies have shown a disproportionately high rate of criminal behavior among male inmates identifying as women compared to their female counterparts.
One study from the Correctional Service of Canada found 82% of transgender inmates who committed a sex crime were men identifying as women.
