The latest investigation into Joe Biden is a hole that he just might not be able to climb his way out of. Right now, it’s looking like Biden used his time as vice president to accept bribes from officials in Ukraine, hence granting them access to decision-making in US politics.
This extends beyond mere allegations, though. Rumor has it that at least one Ukrainian official who bribed Biden (and his son Hunter) recorded their conversations more than a dozen times.
One official with ties to the federal government believes this could be nothing short of a nightmare for the president, per Fox News.
According to Matt Whitacker, the former acting US attorney general, any recordings of Biden taking bribes from foreign officials while working as vice president are bad news.
It is also Whitaker’s view that the situation is “explosive.” He maintains it would prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that Biden intended to abuse his role as then-President Obama’s second in command.
The former acting US attorney general’s remarks come in the wake of GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley revealing that such recordings even exist.
Amid news of Biden taking the aforementioned bribe and being recorded doing so, Republican lawmakers appear ready to move ahead with impeachment proceedings.
During a sitdown with Fox Business, GOP Rep. Andy Biggs stated the House of Representatives, a body controlled by Republicans, is going to work to impeach the president.
Biggs also made it clear that corruption to this extent should result in Biden being not just impeached from office, but also criminally indicted. Whether or not an indictment happens remains to be seen.
In the meantime, Americans can expect ongoing updates as House Republicans continue investigating Biden and all that he got up to as vice president.
