Airline workers have had a very tough time in recent years. In 2020, many were laid off temporarily, amid a major decline in travel. After 2020, travel picked back up, but airline workers struggled with handling the major rise in travelers.
Much of the chaos eventually subsided. However, some travelers have still reported various issues, such as delayed flights, missed connections, and other problems.
Though what’s making headlines these days is a horrific incident involving the shocking death of an Unifi Aviation airline worker, according to the Gateway Pundit.
At the San Antonio International Airport, an airline worker was handling standard tasks on the ground. Though things took a grim turn when the staffer was sucked into the jet engine of a Delta Airlines flight arriving from California.
In the aftermath of the worker’s death, Unifi Aviatio put out a statement, describing the incident as a tragedy. The airline likewise expressed its sadness about the situation, along with its commitment as a company to ensuring that workers on the ground are protected.
Currently, law enforcement and other authorities are investigating to find out how this happened and what can be done to prevent repeats in the future.
In concluding its statement, Unifi Aviation also said it would “defer” to law enforcement in providing any future updates on the matter.
Amid the horrific death of one of their workers, Unifi Aviation is also denying culpability.
While the company’s statement acknowledges the tragedy of one of its workers dying, it also states that this death can’t be traced back to current “safety procedures.”
Though people question why measures weren’t put in place to prevent someone working for Unifi Aviation from being sucked into the jet engine of another plane.
Ultimately, we’ll all have to see where this investigation goes and what comes of it.
