Special Counsel Jack Smith leaked a classified report to CNN, containing audio of a discussion between then-President Trump and Mark Milley last Wednesday.
The information released is alleged to have been written by Mark Milley, chairman of the Chief of Staff. He also conspired with the CCP to warn them if Trump sought war, later overseeing the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.
So far, CNN and the progressive establishment only seem interested in how the recording will impact the DOJ case against Trump.
The unauthorized disclosure of classified information to the press would constitute a crime on the part of Smith and the DOJ.
The original audio consisted of a dialogue between Trump and Milley regarding a potential invasion of Iran, something he reportedly urged the former president to do more than once while in office.
According to the leaker, the meeting involved Mark Meadows, who later wrote about the discussion in his autobiography.
Trump said he would have liked to share specifics during the discussion, but he acknowledges he will not be permitted to declassify files after departing the presidency.
Trump rejected the idea of deploying the US Armed Forces in mass to invade Iran. Milley later drew up his own plans for such an offensive operation.
Milley then turned the tables on Trump, post-2020 election, alleging he planned to start an unjust war against Iran, according to an editorial published in the New Yorker.
The release of the audio has become the focal point of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s “investigation” after the seizure of Trump’s documents at his Mar-a-Lago residence.
According to the sources, Trump mentioned the documents in the audio. This happened in response to the report, with Trump telling the audience if he could show the documents to others, it would disprove Milley’s claims.
