San Francisco, California has been making headlines for quite some time, albeit not for very positive reasons. In 2022, the city garnered massive attention for being the home of major smash-and-grab incidents.

Even after that died down, crime in this major California city continues to reign supreme. So far, there’s no sign of it ending.

In fact, lawlessness is driving more people and businesses out of the community altogether. Now, breaking news from the Daily Mail is shining a light on just how far San Francisco has fallen in 2023.

In the city, nearly three dozen hotels could end up defaulting on loan payments, due to massive declines in their revenue. These revenue drops, as it turns out, are being driven by fewer people visiting San Francisco, due to the company’s reputation of being a hotbed for crime.

Park Hotels & Resorts, for example, recently announced its decision to turn over its ownership of multiple large hotels in San Francisco. The company can’t afford to make payments any longer and it’s far from being alone in this position.

Aside from rampant crime and growing numbers of hotels preparing to default on loan payments, the city has many other problems. At the top of the list is an increase in drug use and homelessness.

It goes without saying that none of this appeals to potential residents or tourists, both of which San Francisco desperately needs to improve the state of its economy.

At this point, unless some serious leadership arrives, San Francisco appears to be done for. Right now, the city is in the middle of a tumultuous snowball effect that’s getting worse and worse as things carry on.

Given that San Francisco and the greater state of California are overwhelmingly dominated by Democrats, no one should hold their breath waiting for serious changes to take place.
