According to research by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), the United States reached almost 17 million illegal immigrants.

According to John Binder of Breitbart News, this represents an increase of over two million since President Biden started his catch-and-release efforts at the US-Mexico border. 

FAIR recently published its yearly report estimating the number of illegal aliens residing in the country. Turning to Census Bureau data, FAIR researchers discovered there are at least 16.8 million illegal aliens currently living in the US.

This represents a rise of 2.3 million illegal immigrants since Biden got into the White House in January 2021 and an expansion of 1.3 million illegal aliens since the same time in 2022.

FAIR researchers found the rising illegal alien population brought about increased costs to American taxpayers.

The alarming entry of new illegal aliens over the last year would tack on $12.6 billion yearly to the costs of illegal immigration.

This brought the annual net cost of illegal immigration to at least $163 billion. FAIR projected, at the current rate of illegal immigration, the annual net cost will blow past $200 billion by 2026. 

On top of that, researchers stated more illegal aliens will have been resettled across the country in Biden’s first three years in office than in the entire previous decade. 

FAIR President Dan Stein believes the Biden administration’s immigration policies are causing major social upheaval.

This is happening by placing major burdens on school districts and social services providers, as migrants from all over the world penetrate the country’s border and place stress on the nation’s fragile infrastructure. 

According to a report by the House Homeland Security Committee, illegal aliens are now increasing costs for hospitals, as American taxpayers are on the hook for billions in unpaid medical bills.
