Over the years, there have been growing debates about what professors and other instructors are subjecting young people to. More often than not, various lesson plans are politically charged with a focus on themes like critical race theory and DEI.
As all of this takes place, there’s been a notable decline in young people who are signing up to attend colleges and universities. Many have become disillusioned with all the problems regarding student loans and the overall culture on certain campuses.
Unfortunately, these concerns don’t seem to be getting through to many instructors who oversee higher education. In fact, new reports from Fox News indicate that one teacher’s celebration of growing infertility in birds is raising eyebrows.
British professor Anne Kollack has gone on the record, stating that “intersex” attributes in animals can counter what she deemed as “heteronormative” culture.
She then went on to make the case that “queerness” in birds and other animals ought to be uplifted, even if this directly correlates with a decline in reproduction.
Believe it or not, Kollack’s commentary is far from an anomaly. It wasn’t too long ago that yet another UK professor was making headlines for chastising a student that acknowledged people can only realistically be female or male.
This pervasive trend of higher education being used as a platform to push leftist political narratives is going to be problematic later down the line.
It certainly won’t inspire more people to sign up for colleges or universities. That’s especially true when you consider that many students who don’t adhere to leftist ideology often find themselves being scorned and isolated by their peers.
At the end of the day, time will tell if higher education ever goes back to being about learning or if it continues to be used as a vehicle of left-wing indoctrination.
