NextImg:Race-Based Hiring Forces Airlines to Set Standards at Dangerously Low Levels - The Conservative Brief

Amid the 2020 summer riots, corporations hastily aligned themselves with the woke cause by enforcing racial quotas on hiring.

Airlines such as American and United joined the bandwagon, even if it forced experienced pilots into early retirement.

Now, pilots are trained to spot “microaggressions” in the workplace, rather than being trained on actual skills that would approve their flight performance.

With the coronavirus as cover, airlines laid off some of their most veteran pilots, resulting in the inevitable shortage, only to begin a massive hiring campaign.

CEO of United Airlines, Scott Kirby, said the company aimed to reach 5,000 pilots through the Aviate program. Following their certification, if they pass, the pilots will be offered a job with United, prioritizing women and people of color over other applicants.

The “diversification” of pilots has had alarming repercussions in more than one instance.

A United 777 that took off from Maui, Hawaii was nearly submerged in the water of the Pacific after putting the aircraft in a nose dive. The pilots were not fired, but “retrained” and reinstated.

Another United 777 nearly collided with a Kamaka Air plane while crossing the wrong runway in Honolulu. The alarming incident cumulated with 2022 having the highest rate of near-air disasters in American aviation history.

Both Delta and Americans Airlines have followed in United’s footsteps and embraced equity over merit.

Both have emphasized black representation greatly. Delta Airlines is actively focused on enhancing diversity, particularly by increasing the number of “black talent” within its workforce.

However, Delta’s levels of black representation began to dwindle after 2020. Black managers diminished from 7% to 6% and at the vice president level, it decreased from 7% to 5%.

Delta has also become very creative with its diversity campaign, aiming to employ overweight individuals as pilots in its new “Faces of Travel.”
