At a town hall gathering in Iowa, former Vice President Mike Pence discussed a number of urgent problems, such as claims the 2020 election was rigged, the attack on the Capitol, and the ongoing federal probe into former President Trump.

Speaking to the audience, Pence reaffirmed his dedication to respecting the Constitution and discussed the importance of equal protection under the law.

Iowa native Keaton Newgren asked the former vice president about claims he might have been able to sway the outcome of the 2020 election during the event.

Pence replied by making reference to his most recent speech and declaring his willingness to fight back against the previous president.

He admitted there were anomalies in the election, especially the rule modifications brought about by COVID-19 that damaged public trust.

Pence highlighted his role in watching over the joint session of Congress and counting the Electoral College ballots was evident. That was the case once the states confirmed the election outcomes and the courts considered any challenges.

Pence emphasized his adherence to the Constitution and assured the crowd that he thought they’d done their duty on that crucial day.

He reaffirmed the necessity for the Republican Party to be a defender of the Constitution, resisting any encroachment on constitutional rights by the Democrats, in reference to his unhappiness with the election’s outcome.

Pence vehemently denounced the acts of the mob members participating in the January 6 attack on the Capitol when asked about Trump’s propensity to pardon them.

He emphasized that individuals who disobeyed his orders to evacuate the Capitol and put an end to the violence should be held accountable to the fullest possible extent of the law.

Finally, Pence stressed the need of their being held accountable, while making it obvious that he had no desire of forgiving those who attacked police officers or trashed the Capitol.
