Hunter Biden’s unexpected attendance at the state dinner hosted by the White House for the prime minister of India was utilized by the PBS weekly political roundtable.

Weijia Jiang, a White House correspondent for CBS News, and Mary Bruce, an ABC News White House correspondent, each conveyed personal understanding for the Democratic president when asked about it by host William Brangham.

They only reluctantly acknowledged the political and legal significance of both Hunter’s plea deal and the recent disclosures from an informant.

Jiang said he wasn’t shocked at all.

The White House’s answer to this was they wished to demonstrate that Biden is an actual person. PBS also thinks, in contrast with a number of Biden’s Republican rivals, he admits wrongdoing.
