Over the years, there’s been no love lost between former President Obama and the Republican Party. The two have repeatedly clashed with one another. Even since Obama left the White House over a decade ago, he’s continued taking various shots at the GOP.
The former president is also believed to remain a very close advisor and confidant to his previous subordinate, Joe Biden.
As a matter of fact, when Biden was running in the 2020 presidential election, conservatives cautioned that electing Biden would be tantamount to giving Obama a third term in the White House.
Now, the former president is back again, this time unleashing new fire against the Republican Party, according to Washington Examiner.
During an appearance on the podcast known as The Axe Files, Obama made it clear that the GOP today isn’t to his liking.
It’s the former president’s view that the Republican Party is responsible for fomenting resentment, anger, and elitism. Likewise, Obama argued the Republican Party should adopt a more working-class disposition, instead of what he called “cultural populism.”
In further comments, Obama essentially argued the Republican Party should become a lite version of the Democrat Party. That was made clear in the former president’s suggestion that Republicans ought to support raising taxes on wealthy Americans.
Republicans across the nation have been swift in pushing back against the false narratives peddled by Obama during his latest podcast appearance.
Conservatives also took the liberty of pointing out the major problems associated with Obama and the Democrat Party at large. For instance, under left-wing leadership in cities across America, crime is rising.
In blue states like Illinois and California, Americans have been fleeing to places where Democrats don’t have a stranglehold on power at the legislative level.
Naturally, Obama declined to mention any of this while making baseless claims about the Republican Party.
