According to Javier Salazar of Bexar County, Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom visited with him to “compare data” over potential legal action against Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

The inquiries are focused on DeSantis’ transportation of migrants coming from the southern border to Sacramento in June and Martha’s Vineyard in September.

Following an investigation into flights where it was claimed migrants were deceived, Salazar suggested filing criminal charges, as the sheriff’s department recently informed the Miami Herald.

Attorney General of California Rob Bonta stated his department was assessing possible criminal or civil proceedings in relation to the flights.

Newsom informed Fox News that he spoke to Bonta in person on Wednesday to go over notes. It is precisely the strategy that DeSantis and his team used to transport migrants to the state of California.

Newsom believes there are grounds for an investigation and perhaps the start of some sort of accountability. They are going after this with the Department of Justice in California because the sheriff needs to see that from the Texas District Attorney, Newsom added.

According to Newsom, Salazar was “disgusted with what DeSantis did,” entering his area of authority through fraudulent pretenses and misleading children.

The California governor said DeSantis did this to not just children, but also adults, transporting them on their way an aircraft to Martha’s Vineyard.

DeSantis justified the transfers at a press conference held on June 7 at the southern border, while campaigning for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024.

Has anyone noticed the hypocrisy of Newsom claiming California is a sanctuary state, but throwing his toys out of the cot the moment DeSantis holds him to his word?

It’s probably very easy to make empty promises and claims when your state is far from the border and you don’t think you’ll ever need to stand by your word.
